Which Pakistan eSIM plan do I need?

Pick by how many days you're in Pakistan and how much you'll stream, then match your trip below.

  • A city break in Lahore: Three days of standard use means 1 GB a day for 3 days. That covers your maps, messages and Careem rides.
  • A fortnight touring Hunza and Skardu: For two weeks of standard use, pick 10 GB for 30 days. It handles maps, WhatsApp and some video along the way.
  • A long stay in Karachi for work: For a month of light use, pick 10 GB for 30 days. That's your maps, email, WhatsApp and rides on Careem and inDrive.
  • A week that also takes in a neighbour: For a week of standard use in Pakistan, pick 5 GB for 30 days. If you're going on elsewhere in South Asia, the South Asia bundle covers Pakistan too.

Most plans can be topped up, and the longest runs for 30 days, so you can add data mid-trip.

Good to know

  • Data only: your own number keeps working for calls and texts
  • Hotspot works where your phone and the network allow it
  • Plans start when you first connect; install within 180 days
  • Your data routes through United Kingdom, so some sites may show that country
  • Top up the same eSIM any time, no new QR code

Will my eSIM have signal in Pakistan?

Your eSIM joins Jazz, and Jazz runs on 4G here, so there is no 5G to look for. Your phone picks the network by itself, so there is nothing to choose once you land. Cities are well covered, but signal is patchier in the mountainous north, so download offline maps before you head up there.

Your data reaches the internet through a United Kingdom IP route, which is normal for travel eSIMs. You can read more on the IP address help page. Mobile data can be switched off for a while in some areas during security events or protests. If you choose a daily plan, speeds drop to 512 Kbps once the day's allowance is used.

Install in two minutes

How to set up your Pakistan eSIM

  1. Install at home

On Wi-Fi, tap Install on iPhone (iOS 17.4+), scan the QR code, or type the two codes from your email.

  2. Switch on when you land

  3. You're online

Your phone joins Jazz and your plan starts. Check data left on your eSIM page.

Using your phone in Pakistan: data tips

  • Arriving: Land at Islamabad (ISB), Allama Iqbal (LHE) or Jinnah (KHI), then switch on your eSIM. Install it at home on Wi-Fi first, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM line. See how to turn on data roaming.
  • Your network: Jazz is the network behind your eSIM, on 4G. Most plans can be topped up if your data runs low.
  • Getting around: Download Careem or inDrive before you fly, so your first ride from the airport is easy to book.
  • Staying in touch: WhatsApp is the messaging app to set up before you fly. Your home number stays on for calls and texts. See how to keep WhatsApp and your home number working together.
  • Good to know: Mobile data can be switched off for a time in some areas during security events or protests. Keep your hotel's address saved offline, just in case.

Pakistan eSIM questions

Money back to your card. Cancel any eSIM you haven't installed within 30 days for a full refund. Our promise
How much is an eSIM for Pakistan?

Pakistan eSIMs start at £3.99 for 100 MB over 7 days. A 5 GB plan for 30 days costs £8.99. Prices include any taxes and show in pounds, euros or dollars.

Which networks does the Pakistan eSIM use?

Your eSIM connects to Jazz in Pakistan. Your phone picks the strongest signal automatically.

When does my Pakistan eSIM start?

Most plans start the moment your eSIM first connects to a network in Pakistan, so you can buy and install it at home before you fly. Install it within 180 days of buying.

Can I top up my Pakistan eSIM?

Yes. Most Pakistan plans can be topped up from your eSIM page in two taps, with no new QR code. The plan table on this page shows which ones.

Why does my IP address show another country?

Pakistan plans route your data through United Kingdom, a normal setup for travel eSIMs. Websites and apps may show that country's content; your speed and coverage in Pakistan are not affected.

Does it come with a phone number?

Every eSIMology plan is data only. Keep your own SIM switched on for calls and texts, and use WhatsApp, FaceTime or any calling app over your eSIM's data.

What if my plans change?

Cancel an eSIM you haven't installed within 30 days for a full refund to your card, in two taps from your eSIM page.

Can I book Careem or inDrive in Lahore with an eSIM?

Yes. Careem and inDrive both need mobile data to book and track a ride, so keep data switched on when you land at Allama Iqbal (LHE) in Lahore or Jinnah (KHI) in Karachi.

Can I use WhatsApp in Pakistan?

Yes. WhatsApp is the messaging app to use in Pakistan, and it runs on your mobile data, so keep data switched on to send and receive messages in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi.

Which regional eSIMs include Pakistan?

Pakistan is part of three regional bundles. South Asia covers six countries, Central Asia covers five and Asia covers 19, so a regional eSIM can suit a trip that crosses several borders.

Is there 5G in Pakistan?

No. Pakistan's mobile networks run on 4G, so don't expect 5G in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi. 4G handles everyday needs such as maps, messages and booking a ride.

Will my mobile data be switched off during protests in Pakistan?

Yes, it can be. Mobile data may be switched off temporarily in some areas during security events or protests, so save your maps offline before you head out.

What happens to my data speed after my daily allowance in Pakistan?

Once your daily allowance is used up in Pakistan, data drops to 512 Kbps. That's slower, but it still handles messages, so you'll stay in touch on the go.
