  5. No data within a minute? Restart your phone.

Tips

  • Install at home on Wi-Fi. Most plans start only when you connect at your destination.
  • Asked for one activation code? Type LPA:1$, then the SM-DP+ address, then $, then the activation code, all with no spaces.
  • Turn off Auto data switching in SIM manager so your home SIM stays off data abroad.
  • No signal? Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network operators → Search now, then pick a network.
  • Signal but no internet? Add the APN in Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names.

Which Samsung phones support eSIM?

Galaxy S20 and later, the Z Fold and Z Flip range, and many recent A-series phones. Dial *#06#: an EID means eSIM support.

I can't see Add eSIM. What now?

Update your phone in Settings → Software update, and check it's unlocked. Some models sold in certain countries have no eSIM.

Can I keep my home SIM in?

Yes. Your Galaxy runs both: the home SIM for calls and texts, the travel eSIM for data.
