What is an EID number?
The EID is a 32-digit number that identifies the eSIM chip inside your phone. It is not your phone number, and it is not your IMEI. The IMEI identifies the phone itself. Not sure what an eSIM is? Read our guide to eSIMs.
Does my phone support eSIM?
If your phone shows an EID, it supports eSIM. No EID means the phone takes only plastic SIMs. Our eSIMs work on iPhone XS, XR and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and later. The phone must also be unlocked, so check that first. For the full list, see which phones support eSIM.
Do I need to send my EID to eSIMology?
No. You don't need to send us your EID to buy or install. The QR code or install link on your eSIM page does the set-up for you. Keep your home SIM in your phone, so texts to your number still arrive.

Is my EID the same as my IMEI?
