Why does my eSIM show SOS only?
SOS only means your phone hasn't joined a network on the travel line yet. Check your plan covers the country you're in. The plan page lists its networks. Before you travel, No Service at home is normal on most plans.
What if I have signal but no internet?
Check the APN (access point name).
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → tap the travel line → Mobile Data Network (APN)
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names
- Pixel: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → tap the eSIM → Access Point Names
What to do next
Once data works, you're set. Still stuck? Check why your eSIM isn't working abroad first, then contact us with your order number and phone model.
Can I still get texts on my home number while the travel eSIM shows No Service?
Yes, if your home SIM stays in the phone. Texts to your home number still arrive. The travel eSIM is data only, so call and message over data with WhatsApp or FaceTime instead.
Will my eSIM work in a country my plan doesn't list?
Probably not. The travel eSIM only joins the local partner networks its plan uses. Check the plan page, which lists them. If your country isn't covered, contact us with your order number.
Does airplane mode fix No Service?
Often, yes. Turn airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off, so the phone searches for networks again. On iPhone, swipe down from the top-right corner to find the switch.
