Your Liechtenstein eSIM in two questions
Which Liechtenstein eSIM plan do I need?
Start with how long you stay and how much you use your phone, then pick the trip that sounds like yours.
A city break in Vaduz: Three days of maps, messages and WhatsApp, with some photos and social media? Pick 1 GB a day for 3 days.
A fortnight touring: Two weeks on the move, using a bit of everything, is best served by 10 GB for 30 days.
A long stay: A month of everyday use fits into 20 GB for 30 days.
A trip that also takes in another country: Moving on from Liechtenstein? The Europe 33 countries bundle is built for that.
Every plan can be topped up, so you can add data later if your trip grows.

Travelling further?
These eSIMs cover Liechtenstein and more countries on one plan.
Will my eSIM have signal in Liechtenstein?
Your eSIM joins 7acht or FL1 in Liechtenstein, and your phone picks between them by itself. Both networks run 5G as well as 4G, so you can keep your maps running on the way up to Malbun. The country is small and well covered, valleys and resort areas included, so you won't have to hunt for a signal in Vaduz or Schaan.
Your data reaches the internet through France, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom, a normal setup for travel eSIMs. The IP address help page explains it. Daily plans slow to a fair-use speed once the day's allowance is used up, so choose the size that fits your days.

Using your phone in Liechtenstein: data tips
- Land in Zurich: Liechtenstein has no airport of its own, so most visitors fly into Zurich (ZRH) in Switzerland. Install your eSIM on Wi-Fi at home, switch it on when you land, and turn on data roaming for the eSIM line.
- Networks: Liechtenstein runs on 7acht and FL1, with 5G as well as 4G.
- Staying in touch: WhatsApp is the app to have ready here. Your home number stays on for calls and texts, and this guide to keeping WhatsApp and your home number shows you how.
- Top up mid-trip: Every plan can be topped up, so if data runs low partway through your trip, you can add more without starting again.
- Visiting more places: Europe plans also cover Liechtenstein, so if your trip takes you further across Europe, one eSIM can do the lot.
Liechtenstein eSIM questions
How much is an eSIM for Liechtenstein?
Liechtenstein eSIMs start at £3.99 for 1 GB over 7 days. A 5 GB plan for 30 days costs £5.99. Prices include any taxes and show in pounds, euros or dollars.
Which networks does the Liechtenstein eSIM use?
Your eSIM connects to 7acht and FL1 in Liechtenstein, with 5G where the network has it. Your phone picks the strongest signal automatically.
When does my Liechtenstein eSIM start?
Most plans start the moment your eSIM first connects to a network in Liechtenstein, so you can buy and install it at home before you fly. Install it within 180 days of buying.
Can I top up my Liechtenstein eSIM?
Yes. Most Liechtenstein plans can be topped up from your eSIM page in two taps, with no new QR code. The plan table on this page shows which ones.
Why does my IP address show another country?
Liechtenstein plans route your data through France, a normal setup for travel eSIMs. Websites and apps may show that country's content; your speed and coverage in Liechtenstein are not affected.
Does it come with a phone number?
Every eSIMology plan is data only. Keep your own SIM switched on for calls and texts, and use WhatsApp, FaceTime or any calling app over your eSIM's data.
What if my plans change?
Cancel an eSIM you haven't installed within 30 days for a full refund to your card, in two taps from your eSIM page.
Which airport do I fly into for Liechtenstein?
Liechtenstein has no airport of its own, so most visitors land at Zurich (ZRH) in Switzerland. Set up your eSIM before you leave home, so there is one less thing to do at the gate.
Is there 5G in Liechtenstein?
Yes, 5G is on offer here. Liechtenstein's networks, 7acht and FL1, carry 5G as well as 4G, so your phone can switch to 5G where a network offers it.
How much data do I need for a week in Liechtenstein?
Light use, such as maps, messages and email, needs about 1.8 GB for a week in Liechtenstein. Standard use, with social media, music and some video, is about 4.9 GB. Heavy use, with streaming and hotspot, is about 12.6 GB, so choose by how much you stream.
Can I buy data by the day in Liechtenstein?
Yes. Daily plans give you a set allowance each day, from 1 GB up to 10 GB, and run for anything from one day to 30 days. Pick the daily amount that matches your heaviest day, not your average one.
Can I use WhatsApp in Liechtenstein?
Yes. WhatsApp is the local messaging app, and it uses your eSIM's mobile data, so keep an eye on your allowance when you send photos. Photos and videos use the most data, so send them over Wi-Fi where you can.
What happens when my daily data runs out in Liechtenstein?
Once you use up your daily allowance, your connection drops to a slower fair-use level. Plan heavy streaming for days when you have more room in your allowance.
Can I use a Europe eSIM in Liechtenstein?
Yes. Liechtenstein is included in several Europe bundles, so if your trip takes in more countries, one of them may cover the whole route in a single eSIM.
