## What do Mexico networks charge to roam?

Here's what three Mexican carriers charge. Prices were read on 7 November 2026.

Telcel Sin Fronteras is 50 MXN a month, an add-on to a Plan Telcel (IVA included). In the United States and Canada, your minutes, messages and data work as in Mexico. Calls and texts you receive there are free.

AT&T Mexico's Roaming Ilimitado, Preferente covers 77 countries, including Spain, the UK and Japan. Passes are 299 MXN for 5 days, 549 MXN for 10 days and 849 MXN for 17 days. Data is unlimited, slowed to 256 kbps after 2,500 MB (5-day), 5,000 MB (10-day) and 8,500 MB (17-day). There are no minutes or SMS. On many plans, AT&T treats Mexico, the United States and Canada as home coverage.

Movistar's Travel Diario costs 110 MXN per day for Europe and Latin America, but not the US or Canada. It gives unlimited browsing, 60 minutes a day and unlimited SMS. You pay only on days you use.

Where home roaming costs extra, a travel eSIM gives data for one price and keeps your number on for calls and texts. Heavy users should look at eSIMology's daily allowances and bigger fixed plans.
